The Pattaya Amulet Association, in conjunction with the Eastern Amulet Association, will hold the Eastern Amulet Exhibition and Contest from October 24-25 at Pattaya School Number 2, located adjacent to Banglamung City Hall. All proceeds will be donated as scholarships to Pattaya students and to Thailand’s far southern three provinces’ field army.

According to Mr. Namchaichana Deevi, Eastern Amulet Association Chairman, the main objective of the exhibition and contest is to promote Pattaya and Eastern religious related tourism and to help Pattaya’s disadvantaged students,  as well as, the field army in the far south’s three provinces.

Mr. Deevi went on to say, “It can be stated that this event is the biggest amulet exhibition in Thailand’s Eastern region, as it will feature over 2,000 amulet display stalls, exhibiting thousands of different kinds of well-known amulets. In addition, the event will also feature an amulet auction. The highlight will be the amulet contest with a chance to win an honorary trophy from Pattaya Mayor Itthipol Kunplome."

Mayor Kunplome proudly stated that the amulet event would be another creative way to maintain and promote Buddhism. In addition, participants will be happy to know that the proceeds will go to Pattaya students and on-duty field army soldiers in the far south.
