The British embassy maintains a part-time consulate situated a few doors from the Pattaya immigration bureau in Jomtien Soi 5 off the Beach Road. The consulate’s postal address is 489/3, Moo 12, Soi 5, Jomtien, 20150 and is open 9:00 am – 11:30 am Mondays to Fridays, but excluding public holidays.
The Consulate is managed by honorary British Consular Barry Kenyon. Phone and fax during office hours are 038 267 113 with an email facility at britembpattaya@csloxinfo.com There is no appointment system and visitors can just arrive during service times.
The Jomtien consulate offers a wide range of notarial services for British citizens including confirmation of income for Thai immigration purposes, certification of affirmations to marry in Thailand, witnessing certain documents etc. Fees are charged in accordance with British parliamentary regulations worldwide. The consulate also offers general advice on contacting lawyers, renewing passports in the Bangkok embassy, registering a birth and dealing with the bureaucracy of bereavement.
