‘Tickle by Fish’ The New Spa Experience

‘Tickle by Fish’ proprietor Khun Nui Pannapatr Ekkasook explained that the fish spa is a traditional method of treatment in which fish nibble human dead skin and get rid of bacteria on a person’s feet. In addition, this natural treatment provides a stimulating reaction while the fish are nibbling the skin. Customers’ skin will be smooth and soft. Clients will have a pleasant experience while hundreds of fish do their job of nibbling dead skin.

The ‘Tickle by Fish’ spa here is different from other local spas as of all fish “workers” here have been imported from China; while other fish spas use seasonal Thai fish. It isn’t clear if the Chinese fish have obtained work permits.

For ticklish customers, the spa course begins by using small size fish so the customers can get used to the treatment. This is followed by foot massage using special salt before softening the feet with a unique lotion which will result in the sensation of having weightless feet. The price of the course is 800 baht.

Tickle by Fish Spa also provides a body detoxification program using the Ionic Detox Machine. This machine releases low voltage electrical current into parts of the body in order to drain out all pollutants and toxins from the lungs and kidneys through the feet’s vessels.

It is important that any customers with congenital diseases should inform spa officials before using the detoxification program. The course takes half an hour and costs 750 baht.
