Sport Authority of Thailand and Chonburi to Organize ‘Chonburi Games’
Sport Authority of Thailand and Chonburi officials announcing good news of being chosen to host the upcoming 39th National Games.
Sport Authority of Thailand, in association with Chonburi Province, will host the upcoming 39th National Chonburi Games from December 9 – 19. The competition will consist of 41 sporting events played within three venues: Muang, Chonburi District, Sriracha Sport Complex and Pattaya.

Chonburi vice Governor Mr. Soonthorn Rattanavaraha stated proudly that Chonburi’s wish for another opportunity to host a national competition finally came true. All necessary facilities and utilities are already prepared for the games to be held in Chonburi.
Chonburi Administrative Organization representative, Mr. Vittaya Kunplome said that the Chonburi Administration has prepared to support the Chonburi Games in all aspects, including the competition venue, which has already been rebuilt. More than 16,000 accommodations for athletes have been prepared and the transportation and press centers are also ready.
The competition-analyzing center has been set up at the Ambassador City Hotel, Jomtien. The Chonburi Tourism Committee Promotional plan will be in effect, as Chonburi contains many attractions for tourists and visitors.
The 39th National Chonburi Games are scheduled to be held from December 9-19. The Games’ symbol is a graphite line depicting sailing with the national flag in the background. The event’s mascots are two sharks named Sansook and Sansamran under the banner of ‘Unity Games.’
The 41 events will be held in three venues:
Muang, Chonburi: running, swimming, weight lifting, body building, gymnastics, football, softball, handball, fencing, billiard snooker, gun shooting, net ball, rugby football and Petron
Sriracha Sport Complex: cycling, tennis, basketball, judo, wresting, hockey, Thai boxing, international boxing and table tennis
Pattaya: air sports, golf, football, women’s football, badminton, lawn tennis, volleyball, Sepak Takraw, Gabuddy, Taekwondo, Karate, Boat Rowing, Chase, Bridge, Bowling, Sailing, Windsurfing and dancing

39th National Games' mascots are two sharks named 'Sansook' and 'Sansamran'.
