First Pattaya Classical Guitar Festival

The Classical Guitar Festival in Pattaya is the ultimate intimate event experience and the only one-day luthiers (guitar maker) and music showcase of its kind in Thailand. It combines many of the world’s top makers of hand-built guitars and great musicians showcasing their talent. The objective of the festival is to enhance the educational development and knowledge of classical guitar students and admirers in Thailand. Without having to go overseas, students have the chance to observe the workings of world-class guitarists and guitar makers in one location!

The event will feature top international musicians like Leon Koudelak (Switzerland), Yasuaki Hiura (Japan), Wooratep Rattana-umpawan (Thailand), Nalin Komentrakarn (Thailand), Thailand guitar virtuoso Ekachai Jearakul and students of the Thailand Guitar Society. Alongside will be showcased quality, expert guitars made in Germany, Japan, England and Thailand.

The festival will be held in the Siam Bayshore Resort & Spa’s Pine Grove Room from 2 pm to 10 pm, including an opening ceremony and exhibition, student concert, “Fly with Bird on the Rhythm of Guitar” concert by Ekachai Jearakul and “Guitar Soirée” featuring four international players. The festival is open to all: be you guitar collector, player or general enthusiast. Admission is 400 Baht for adults and 200 Baht for students (inclusive intermission coffee break). Special accommodation package (inclusive breakfast and festival ticket): 2,800 Baht (single) or 3,000 Bahr (twin) per night.
