Great Fun at the Lighthouse Club Foundation Charity Golf Day and Party at The Village

The worthwhile events started off with a pleasant afternoon of charity golf at the Plutaluang Navy Golf Course, in South Pattaya, where 110 golfers participated. The 'Finex' Apparel Company Team, consisting of four golfers, was the winner. They, incredibly, scored 54, which is 18 below par. The runners up were 'Paradise City', which scored 60 and 'RSM Thailand', which came in with a score of 63. In addition to the fun and excitement of the golf competition, a large sum of money was raised at this event.

The golf competition was followed with an evening of great food and entertainment at 'The Village', at the junction of Chaijapruek-1 and Sukhumvit Roads, where additional money was raised. Despite a heavy rainstorm, the 'Phuket Mermaid' swimwear show went ahead as scheduled. The crowd enthusiastically enjoyed viewing the models parading down the catwalk in the rain. To add to the excitement, some of the adventurous (and inebriated?) golfers jumped into the nearby pond (fully clothed).

Many of the lucky participants did not leave empty handed, as there were many raffle prizes awarded, including an 180,000-baht swimming pool.

The event was organized by three of Pattaya's 'Movers and Shakers' consisting of the Real Estate Magazine, JVK International Movers and Town and Country Properties; with backup from other generous businesses. The mission was to raise funds for the Lighthouse Club Foundation (LHC), which helps the children of construction workers who live on site and have limited educational facilities. Providing Mobile classrooms is just one of the activities of this worthwhile organization.
