Governor Adds Additional Security Measures for Tourists - Tourists - Chonburi - Senee Chittakasem - Security - Crime


Chonburi Governor Senee Chittakasem has recently issued new security measures to assure tourists of their safety during the upcoming high tourist season. This is in order to gain tourists’ confidence, with the measures focused on cracking down all crime related issues and a special focus on drug users and dealers.



In addition, measures will also be taken to cover tourism related organizations. The measure’s operation will be cover many tourism sites in Chonburi including Pattaya, Koh Larn, Bangsaen, Ang-sila, and the Kao-Kheo open zoo. These locations will be further developed to make Chonburi a complete tourism destination. Chonburi is also planning to establish an international marine scientific

Center with the feasibility of this being studied now.

 

The Chonburi governor also revealed that tourist numbers this year will remain comparatively low at between 5-6 million, being affected by the H1N1flu and worldwide economic crisis. On the upside though, TAT has organized a Tourism Road Show in Russia and it was well responded by Russian tourists even though the crisis still remains.

 

Chonburi Governor Senee continued to reveal that even though the flu epidemic appeared to once again active in this upcoming December, Chonburi province has already prepared measures to deal with it, especially around entertainment venues.
