Father of Medicine and Father of Our King Honored

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cherdsak Theerabut, Executive Consultant of Sirirach Hospital Foundation and Director of Bangkok Research Center Hospital, chaired the ceremony of the Mahidol Remembering Day by offering a flower garland before the late HRH Price Mahidol’s portrait. The ceremony was attended by Chonburi Public Health Editor Mr. Marut Chirasethasiri, Pattaya Deputy Mayor Mr. Veerawat Khakhay, along with officials from Burapha University’s Faculty of Medicine, as well as, students and medical and sanitary related organizations in Chonburi.

The entire ceremony, in Pattaya, was conducted at The Avenue’s multipurpose space located in the front of the mall on Pattaya Second road. There were many exhibitions about the late Price Mahidol who established a lot of important medical and sanitary related institutions in the areas of medicine, dentistry, sanitation, social welfare, high school educational systems, naval systems and fishery systems. The late Price Mahidol was designated as the ‘Father of Thai Medical and Social Welfare’.
